A local boat to the tri-state area that had been in storage by the same owner for many years. As the sons became older and took an interest in the boat the family decided to bring her out of storage and put some life back into the very attractive Century.
It was originally brought to us just for a new 5200 bottom. Once it was pulled off, many problems became apparent. The notorious rear triple-laminated transom frame was completely gone, along with several other badly cracked and rotten bottom frames. Several hullside frames were also rotted beyond repair and needed attention. At that point the owner instructed us to pull the planking off, make all necessary repairs, then proceed with a complete refinish. She had been painted black at some point and the family requested her finish be factory original. They would put the interior, chrome, and hardtop on themselves. The boat also had been re-powered with a more modern and powerful V-8 motor previously which they intended to re-install.
Time to complete was approximately six months.
